Congratulations on this extraordinarily well written satirical essay on the sad state of modern discourse. The seemingly irreversible loss of our ability to listen to and appreciate perspectives other than our own is stupefying. Truly measured discourse is not a transmit-only affair, but a thoughtful balancing of one’s desire to make his own perspective known while also endeavoring to understand the perspectives of others. Submitting one’s own viewpoint as infallible and viciously attacking anyone who dares disagree is a sign of gross immaturity.
