If they do extend you it’s to fly the schedule you bid. Trust me, I use the contract in my favor every chance I get. If I were going to refuse a legal extension which I think the pilot should have a right to do even though it’s not supported contractually I am going to give the company notice in advance.
Extending is a generous way to put it. I was expired for a week then magically I was current again with a new template to fill out. This after I emailed the department responsible for the extension with no response. So how can you tell the company you’re not comfortable with an extension unless you know (now) that they apply them post-expiration? I had assumed even with the extension language that once expired a sim was a must.
