Nothing on the C5 forums. What will they shrink to the size of? What will be their single hub?
C5 guy here. We are basically a single base airline right now, operating exclusively out of IAD. 75% of our flying pre-covid was in EWR but no displacements have occurred (for now, that is) and they are presently deadheading all EWR based crews to and from IAD for every trip.
We had some hope that we would be back in EWR in August as the UA timeline showed "operated by commutair" on many flights. Those are all Air Whiskey now for some stupid reason. Guess being #1 in metrics for a good part of June or 40% owned by mainline really doesn't mean jack **** to Kirby.
At this point I think C5 is doing pretty well under the circumstances, but we are still beholden to UA. We could die at the drop of a pen, much like any of their regional partners.
