Will people stop giving examples of how little others make? Sure, we make more than just entry-level corporate gig, but on the other hand I make more working part-time as an architectural drafter than working full time as a pilot. I love flying but I am forced to get out this business simply because I end up working on the days off to make a living. Hopefully you will make that 70K next year, but you better hope that nothing happens to your airline because as you as pilot changing jobs means back to square and 20K comes with it.
Are you serious? You think that I'm the reason why regional pay so low? BTW, when has our pay at the regionals decreased? Yes Mesaba's and Comair’s did but their companies either went bankrupt or were on the verge. Other than that; did SKW, XJT, ASA and RAH take pay cuts in the last 20 years. NO! Now if you're counting inflation then EVERYONES pay has and is decreasing every year, office workers included.
At no point did I say that I like getting paid poorly and at no time did I justify our pay rates. Yes we deserve more but to say that a cubicle job is better than ours when they make less or equal money with more stress and (in most cases, that is those who are very successful) work long/er hours, is absurd. I'll give you a bit of advice; get off you high horse, stop attacking others, have a little more respect for others and stop assuming the worst. Your position is correct but your attacks are ridiculous, it shows your narrow-mindedness as well as your ignorance.
BTW, that’s your opinion and I respect it. You know what they say, “Opinions are like ass-holes, everyone’s got one;” but I think you’re just coming off as the complete ass.
No offense and good day.
