Not a mgmt apologist, but didn’t they say something about a “false start” coming out of this? Did I read somewhere that SWA is rethinking their “full schedule by Sep“ game plan?
I think the national strategy, especially now that the death rate is down, is to achieve herd immunity through mass exposure before the Nov election, while keeping the economy barely afloat through people who are content with the health risks, masks/no mask/distancing/whatever.
In other words, it’s gonna be a while before we see a financially meaningful and sustained recovery of the air travel sector.
