I think the national strategy, especially now that the death rate is down, is to achieve herd immunity through mass exposure before the Nov election, while keeping the economy barely afloat through people who are content with the health risks, masks/no mask/distancing/whatever.
In other words, it’s gonna be a while before we see a financially meaningful and sustained recovery of the air travel sector.

I still think this thing is over in November. It'll lose its political lift. This will be done and the sheeple will move on to the next crisis du jour.
