unemployment is an insurance policy purchased for you by the company in the state you are employed. When you file for unemployment insurance claim you file in the state you are employed. You are not the first person ever to do this. We are not the first group of people to do this. The state unemployment offices know how this works. It will be handled appropriately when you file online.
