someone prove me wrong that this isn’t how they all have happened over the last like 5 years?
Boston pocket session before Europe was announce. Everyone up in arms. Going to be amazing, awesome, Europe, wide bodies.
”thanks for showing up. We are having an Instagram contest for someone to fly on JetBlue for free for a year”
I mean even when we announce Europe. People head on down to jfk hang out in the hangar. Keynote is finish. “Oh hey btw headed to europe, don’t know when, don’t know where. Not sure what plane. Thanks for coming.”
that’s just to name a few over hyped events. This NDA between the company and alpa to keep my job, mmm don’t think it has anything to do with selling tickets for one of our direct competitors and visa versa. (Idk what section 1.f is, to lazy to get my iPad out) but I’m sort of under the impression that a codeshare doesn’t have anything to do with signing an NDA with ALPA or requires ALPA to vote. Just like you said Ted. Idk wtf I’m talking about. But based on history, new eco friendly tugs coming.
Most JB rumors are indeed overhyped nothing-burgers with moldy cheese.
The reason codeshare language could be in an ALPA LOA and could be the reason for the NDA is the JB pilot CBA prevents the signing of a new codeshare agreements(I happen to think AA and possibly Alaska) unless JB's block hours are increasing and JB is hiring pilots (or something to that affect, haven't read that section in a while).
So if AA gave JB significant gate space in LAX and/or JFK slots and/or a few LHR slots (all as an example) in exchange for a codeshare agreement, JB would be unable to make that deal in the current envenvironment. Unless the growing block hours part of the CBA was temporarily waived in exchange for a no-furlough guarantee.
Not saying that is what's happening, but that could be an example of how a codeshare could be the reason for an ALPA NDA.
And I don't think most see the NDA or what's behind it as necessarily exciting or amazing news.
