The only reason we have a SEA hub is because of Alaska's own arrogance and ****ing off Richard and the Board.

When Richard stood there next to AS's CEO at SEA way back when to announce an enhanced code-share to build DL INTL expansion, the plan was to run off Alaska's feed. A month or so later when AS announced an enhanced deal with AA, RA went public prosecutor and the back-up plan to build our own SEA hub was signed off on by the board. So we have all that flying, which basically started with OO RJ7's, to thank due to Alaska's Brad and Ben!

And shortly after we announced our hub at SEA, Brad called Richard and told him AS would oblige. The story goes RA told him the call was collusion and hungup. Heard it several ways from SEA/ATL Leadership over the years but it circles around this.

Any potential future AA flying up/down the west coast is gone - to AS.

It’d be like DL having Spirit feed our new FLL hub. That’d go over like a turd in a punch bowl. I find it hard to believe their contract allows it.
