Good stuff Motch. There was also this nugget from flight ops after the voluntary programs were annouced:
"WARN Act notices were sent to 2,250 pilots last week, although my hope is that the number of pilots furloughed will be much less than that. As I shared in my July 8 message, we’ve been working with ALPA on solutions to help reduce the number of involuntary furloughs in Flight Ops."
To me, that reads that all of the voluntary programs (including early outs) are anticipated to reduce the 2250 number. At least according to flight ops which doesn't seem to jive with what ALPA has been hinting at. So who the heck knows. Gets more and more confusing by the day, which I believe is part of their plan, or they really still have no clue as to what to do.
