What exactly is it that I refuse to acknowledge? Perhaps reading comprehension isn't your strong suit, but back in April I said that even the projected number of deaths didn't justify a lockdown in my opinion. If the projected number of deaths was 150k, then that would justify some reasonable actions (which I support). I've feel that I've been pretty clear that reasonable people can disagree on the subjective morality of tolerable deaths, although obviously that's not something you believe.

One thing that you're not really giving any attention to that you really should be is the following:
The country was already shutting down without a mandate.
We can debate the finer points of whether or not state-mandated shutdowns are unconstitutional (spoiler: they're not). But the slow down in travel and business was
already happening voluntarily because people are afraid of acquiring COVID-19.
It's real easy to say that this is all the fault of government and that if the lockdowns didn't happen then everything would be hunkydory. You couldn't be further from the truth. There's still a pandemic going on. People are afraid of it. And all the macho posts calling out the fearful as
snowflakes or whatever will not change public behavior.
The virus is out of control. And until it gets under control, the economy will suffer.
