The federal government SHOULD set guidlines and encourage STATES to follow a uniform FEDERAL set of protocols. The countries around the globe that have been successful have done so using a national framework that the citizens were able to get behind. Our country responded to the events of 9/11 by issuing federal guidlines that you and I happily followed. Leadership from the top could have altered the course of our recovery. To what degree is certainly arguable. This week the president reversed course and stated that we are now "working" on a response. You have to admit that is a tad delayed given the statistics. It is now hurting the economy and once again hammering our careers. I'm glad he has seemingly reversed course here but I fear it has nothing to do with keeping our vulnerable safe and more to do with polling data and or the economic fallout (which I can actually get onboard with given our industry).
So after your blathering about federal overreach, you want to give the Federal government MORE power? Double facepalm.
