The Capts do fly the passenger legs however since passenger legs are either 91K or 135 the FOs do get to log SIC time. That directive came from our FAA POI and it has to do with his concern for FO IFR currency.
I mean, the CA can log the time on passenger legs too, why can’t the FO fly some? FOs never fly passengers at all? Captains never have to safety brief? FOs never get the compliments about the nice landing even though we all agree the trailing link is the real superstar?? That’s kinda too bad.
