As for HK hospitals, unfortunately, I know more about them than you ever will. I'd rather be sick over there than sick in the states. I think the statistics back me up on that.
And those VTO trips - there were three people senior to me that bid them. Guess there's more pussies and lemmings out there.....

I am unfamiliar with the hospitals you speak of in Hong Kong. However, I can attest that the one they send you to is not the classic top of the line hospital you may have experienced in Hong Kong. I can attest that it is a Government ran hospital, where they want you to share medical equipment with others that are in the room. They try and offer you clinical trial drugs to fight this virus. The guys in the room range from sick to really sick. You try to sleep but it’s hard to do such when your roommates are coughing, gagging and throwing up throughout the night. Not to mention the constant medical equipment alarms that go off throughout the day and night as the staff could care less. You share one bathroom, and the distance between you and your roommates is roughly 2 feet. Nurses do not speak English typically and the only person that speaks English is typically the doctor, whom you only see once a day. And when you do, they are speaking through an intercom system which is hard to hear. We all make choices and if you choose to fly into HKG, I wish you luck. FYI, for what I understand, two HKG based pilots JS with a pilot that had popped positive for COVID. They pulled them out of their home and took them to quarantine camp for 14 days. For what I gather, wouldn’t want to go there either. Not sure if they were single or not, but could you imagine if they had family there as well. Scary stuff.
