Does anyone really believe that taking concessions vs not will actually mean the difference between being furloughed or not? It’s going to happen anyway and you might as well be able to come back to original pay rates when recalled.

the only thing I’d consider is reduced Guarentee which equates to more days off.
The young or new people weren't around for that and therefore for some reason don't believe people when they talk about how bad and cutthroat management can be when things take a turn for the worse, and when things improve and profits are pouring in they are unwilling to give back what the employees sacrificed. When concessions like low pay and ****ty work rules are agreed upon they stay when things improve and usually take a multi-year negotiating battle to get them back.

Keep in mind these are the same "wunderkinds" who didn't think another downturn could be possible with how great things were going and told every Captain they flew with they would be at a Major in 2 years, now they will be working at Home Depot. Unfortunately I most likely will be one of those people, but full pay to the last day is the stance to take.
