The QRunner is cheaper. It's a van that will take you from JFK to LGA or vice-versa for $10 plus tip. If you have a crash pad in Kew Gardens, I believe they will drop you off and certain points in that area as well.
If most of you flying is out of JFK, Kew Gardens area is probably your best bet (halfway b/w LGA and JFK).
If you will be flying/commuting out of LGA, there are a few pads around LGA as well. It's best if you can find one along a bus route (i.e. Q33) that takes you right into LGA every 15 minutes or so.
