I don't have any answers as to the future of oil prices, if I did I would be drinking on my yacht instead of typing. There is one absolute truth though-free markets will keep energy flowing and react faster than any deadbeat politician can clear his throat and ask for a steering commitee to undertake a decades long study of what we should do.

Update on MMGW and Manbearpig-it is looking like they gave the Nobel to the wrong guy, but lawfirms are having a field day billing $700 an hour for environmental studies and people buying "carbon credits" from themselves are doing OK too.
