When the FA comes into the cockpit, they are standing directly behind you, elevated, and talking in your direction. In other words, spitting down right on you. I wear my mask while they're up there, I politely ask them to keep theirs on too, and explain this if needed. So far I haven't been called any names (to my face) but wouldn't care if they did.
What do you think happens at the grocery store? How about at a restaurant when you are seated at a table and people are walking right by you and not wearing a mask because they are leaving? I see your point, but I think that if you are so worried then you should don your crew O2 and make sure you get a tight seal against your face just to be safe...
