You're right that the sim capacity is there but with deadheads, a room at JBU, and sheer volume, it might just make sense to throw a few landings on all your reservists with the existing fleet.
Assigning a reserve a trip down to MCO to go to JBU for landings costs nothing. The room at JBU costs nothing (loads of empty rooms), The sim costs nothing, the deadhead costs nothing (tons of empty seats). Only cost is your per diem which is being spent on food and beer at JBU.
