Where do we fly that has that? That sounds interesting


Although the CRJs don't have autothrottle, the newer models (700 and beyond) do have Fadec, which makes life a lot easier. I don't think they take away any part of the "flying the airplane" aspect. They do add an increased margin of safety though, such as setting the power during takeoff, automatically adding power in the event of failure, and overspeed protection (you can just firewall them if you have to with no ill effects).
