My predictions. Skyw pilots will vote down the pay proposal 65% to 35%. Skyw will come back to the table to re-negotiate. They will drag out the new proposal negotiations for a year or longer then present a new proposal with a slight increase over the previous one. The increase in the new proposal will be the cash they saved over the year or whatever time they dragged negotiations out. Thus giving us the same (pay-proposal) a year or so from now. Sure would have been nice to have a union.
Then what are they going to do about first year pay? They need this increase in order to start filling classes. Will they just increase it with out compensation everyone else? If so then I guarantee their costs will go up and I’m sure many including myself will do our parts to assist these increases!
No, they'll come back to the table ASAP so that a pay proposal can be passed which alows for an increase in first year pay.
