If this is what you got out of my post... you, and people who think like you... are the problem.

Talking about a virus and using mitigating tools to control its spread IS by definition ... conservatism. You can use all the ultra right wing buzz words you like to cover for the failings of our federal govt. A federal govt. which currently is being run by DJT.

Lets unpack a few of your points:

1. "why did we close everything up?" - We didn't. Plain an simple. There have been people from the beginning of this calling this a hoax. Shutdowns occurred, but on a state-by-state, city-by-city basis. There has as of this day, still not been a coordinated national effort to control the virus. And day by day it spreads indiscriminately. Worse, the semi-shutdown that did occur was futile. A proper approach would have allowed for testing and medical supply availability to catch up to case numbers we were seeing at that time. SO what did we do? We did not get enough mask manufactured, we did not get ample testing, we did not implement widespread contact tracing. SO, here we are.
2. "Why are we wearing mask now when we did not with the flu?" - Literally.. what???? What do you mean here? Influenza is understood, Covid 19 is not. Covid is a new virus that the human race (as we currently understand it) has not been exposed to. Doctors don't know about it. Our current understanding of the virus is that it is far more contagious and deadly than the regular flu. So yeah, a mask helps to stop its spread. But if you can't understand that basic, common knowledge idea, I don't know what to tell you.
3. "Tell me why Biden is a good choice?" - Because he's not a moron? I mean seriously. Did you see T's latest interview? God save us all! How could you even attempt to talk about cognitive decline/ability between the two of these people. Trump, like you, doesn't even understand basic statistics. At what point is a bunch of bankruptcies not enough to elect a guy to be President?
