bidding a monthly schedule is way different than getting furloughed...and I am not a senior guy or an old guy, but the idea of whether or not you get furloughed being based on bidding doesn't seem right to me...either you are senior enough to not get furloughed or you are not, there should be no caveats IMHO.
All this allows is that if someone would rather be furloughed than take a zero hour line it allows them to do that while allowing a junior guy who is willing to accept the 0 hour line to do that. If they didn’t, then if a senior guy would rather be furloughed, it wouldn’t allow the junior guy to take the 0 hour line instead. The junior guys are not going to get anything that wasn’t offered to the more senior pilots first.
