I hope for your sake and many others we are all wrong about this LOA, bc at this point it seems like our only hope. Anyone outside the 2500 WARN pilots that takes a ZTL award that knocks off 1 less furlough for the 2500, and for every 2 that take the alternating month fly month no fly that knocks off 1 furlough of the 2500...that's it done finished, none of this other bs. Simple and easy for everyone to understand and game plan for...if that's what this is for God's sake someone from APA please just freaking say this with some assurance that we aren't going to be screwed by the company bc of some poor ass language. Heck you could even have a multiple rounds of bidding...for example in rd 1 (for easy to follow small numbers) let's say 5 pilots out side the 2500 take ZTL thus "protecting" pilots 2500, 2499, 2498, 2497, and 2496. Now in rd 2 those "protected" pilots can bid for a ZTL or alternating month to month bid thus giving them a chance to "save" the next pilots in line in the 2500. It honors seniority to a tee and gives everyone a clear picture of where they stand. Its probably way to simple but then again I like to keep things simple...At some point someone will get furloughed but I bet in this case the company would hold on to more pilots then the other scenario of all 2500 getting ZTL'ed...then again if the company threatened to APA to do something or else they were going send out 3,000 or whatever more WARN notices , well then either as an APA BOD member you believe them and take the bait, or you roll the dice and call their bluff. Tough call either way.
