All the chest thumping trying to convince oneself why their regional is more safe than another’s is ridiculous. No one is safe. UA essentially owned ExpressJet, and what happened there? Mesa’s contract is due soon. They could be next to go, or they could renegotiate and AA could liquidate a WO.
You incorrectly construed that I was chest thumping when I was simply correcting Claxstarr's snarky statement and butted in for no reason. I'm simply bringing facts to the table to correct unsubstantiated opinions/theories (Claxstarr's claim that OO is not interested in any CRJs when OO has recently purchased the 15 ex-PSA CRJ-200s) that these forums are usually rampant with. When did I say that I was safe? That any regional was safe? I didn't. I don't think that. No one is safe in this very fragile environment that this pandemic has thrown us into. No one knows what's going to happen. I don't think I'm safe from furloughs at all. I count my blessings every day that I still am employed. I'm gearing up for being furloughed later this year, and I'm expecting it.
