There were other options that could have been negotiated that would have had a much more realistic effect in mitigating furloughs.
I agree, switching unions is not eliminating certain db's that are either completely incompetent, or are milking the system. One fix might be introducing term limits and fences transferring from union to management.

What is the ratio of the BOD with regards to LAA, LUS, LAWA and TL? My hope in fixing this drama is to have more fresh blood (TL) in the union. Not saying that all boomers are bad, but looking back at f ups, I realize that the list is very long.
