It's precisely socialist policy like this that made me leave my native Norway in search of the American dream and now we have it gaining popularity in America
These leftist policies have propelled thousands of people to leave California to go live in the middle of the Arizona/Nevade desert in search of greater QOL.
Califonia is so restrictive/expensive for business, labor regulations, workers comp, state payroll tax, court system that it has driven thousands of small/medium firms to leave.

I DO own a home, and I AM willing to pay more (even more than $.01/kwhr). In fact, I AM paying more, to subsidize development and utilization of renewable power. Thankfully, not everyone thinks we can just p*ss on the planet at our current rate forever.
