One time they called me after the last leg as asked me if I was willing to cover an additional turn for 150%. Contract says if you are reassigned beyond trip termination .... says nothing about asking you if you’re okay with it. Now if you pickup the trip on your days off I believe the release is different.
I have been asked if I was willing to cover a trip exactly like you mentioned ... but in those situations, it wasn’t because the contract says you have an option; it was because the reassignment wasn’t legal and they are basically asking if you are willing to waive your contractual rights. For example, they can’t reassign you after 1:00am. Maybe you had a late night reassignment attempt?
