Does anyone have insight into the guaranteed interview opportunity with United? The email says all ExpressJet pilots are eligible, but what about the guys who hadn't yet hit 1000 turbine (which I think was United's hiring minimum)? I'm sure no one here knows for sure, but is the intent that this guaranteed interview can be saved for later, so to speak?

Obviously United won't be hiring for some time, but haven't seen anyone mention it here yet. I'm just wondering if there's precedent for offering a guaranteed interview that won't be redeemable for at least a couple of years, or if it's little more than a consolation prize that will ultimately be forgotten.
