well the idea is a long shot, but it can't hurt (minus a couple'a hundred for writtens)

After you obtain PPL, take the FOI and the AGI writtens, and viola.... you are now an advanced ground instructor capable of giving ground instruction for any FAA rating and ground instruction for any flight review. So the idea is that maybe (long shot) you can teach ground instruction at a flight school in exchange for discounted flight time, kind of like how gas pumpers do at FBOs.
