Just curious how this is APA’s fault? No other Major has agreed to ALV reductions that I know of. Let’s say APA does agree to an ALV reduction and then CARES 2 passes. Well then you took a concession you didn’t need to take. It’s a crap sandwich to all and placing blame on one side or another is disingenuous in my opinion. I think some credit is due APA for leading the industry with being the leader on negotiating early retirements and leaves.
JetBlue signed a MOU that snaps back the ALV reduction if payroll protection is extended for the airlines. I’m assuming AA would structure it similarly. No need to not sign off on an ALV reduction to save jobs because CARES 2 might be signed.
