Given the delayed start up of breeze, they could just apply for a new certificate. These things take 6-12 months, usually, if things go smoothly. (A big IF). Mostly writing manuals from scratch and submitting them for review.

On one hand, with airlines tanking, one could imagine a fire being lit under the FAA to get a fast track for a new airline certificate. On the other hand, maybe it’s just too COVID dangerous for “non essential “ FAA employees to do other than the bare minimum.

Beats me. The last thing struggling legacy carriers need is another ultra LCC jumping in with a smart CEO.
