HR 4343 added additional medical requirements
“No person who has attained 60 years of age may serve as a pilot of an air
carrier engaged in covered operations unless the person has a first-class
medical certificate….”
CBA 24.A.3 requires that a pilot posses a current FAA medical certificate
for the respective crew position “prior to being awarded” the position.
That means, prior to the closing of the respective bid for that position.
Please note that Bid 08-01 closes on February 18, 2008.
