ive always considered you one of the more intelligent posters on this board chili, so your expectation of an F9 handout as it’s facing a dire business environment surprises me. Maybe I’m missing something here so enlighten me. Why do you feel that frontier owes you or any of us a handout because the business is suffering causing us to be grossly over staffed? Also, what handouts/Benefits did you enjoy during your previous furlough/furloughs?

reading your post again, it almost comes across more so that you’re upset you won’t be able to pad your schedule and pick up trips because the zero time guys will snatch them up. If that’s the case, I guess you’re not looking for a handout, You’re just looking out for numero uno and your paycheck.
First off I apologize for amping up the discussion level with you, you did however reference posters here as sniveling children. Completely unnecessary.

What benefits did I receive during previous furloughs? Zilch. Same as you. A few hundred bucks a week in unemployment. Now isn’t then.

I don’t have ANY expectations on what Frontier owes any of us during this time. In fact I was fully expecting a mass furlough back in May. I predicted we wouldn’t get involved with any government handouts or loans. My prediction was off. I get we’re overstaffed and applaud our management for keeping as much staff on property as long as they have.

What I think your missing is once again our peers have shown us you only get what you negotiate. Spirit just went from 800+ warn letters to mitigating it down to 100+ furloughs and now with a last minute Hail Mary ZERO furloughs. An airline with similar load factors, same fleet type, slightly larger than us, almost identical CASM, same revenue environment, similar cash position, etc..

The comment you made about me looking out for numero uno is ridiculous. I’ve been on COLAS since the start of them in an attempt to help avoid any furloughs. You didn’t pay attention to the fact I came out of the gate stating we need a CREDIT CAP.
If we’re going to furlough let’s also negotiate items that are going to get pilots back to work sooner than later. I don’t think having crews sitting around on zero time lines so they can pick up open time is going to get guys back at work sooner. On the surface it sounds like a great deed, however I think it has the potential to keep guys out much longer. Once we start the furlough process the company isn’t going to bring anyone back any sooner than is necessary. Do we really need to help draw out that process? It’s akin to wiping out the industry standard monthly guarantee and having guys sit around to survive off of open time. Can guys even qualify for unemployment while picking up open time? Which btw would at least typically be one constant while being furloughed.
