ALPA is crumbling, and they know it. With no success at Skywest and Colgan, and soon to voted out at US Airways, they feel they must resort to this behaivor.
Thank God for Right to Work laws so I won't have to join them.
I just want to reiterate what SAAB said: ALPA is
not just a detached group of people sitting in an office. ALPA is comprised of the thousands of pilots it represents. As corny as it might sound, the pilot group
is ALPA.
In this case, the Pinnacle pilot group is standing together for a cause they believe they've been wronged over. The folks at the ALPA offices aren't doing this to try to keep from "crumbling." The pilots are showing solidarity to push toward a common goal, and I'll raise a beer to that.
I'll say one thing: If I were EWR based, I'd be out there alongside them.
