RJDio, I've had COVID. It wasn't that bad; over it in less than 2 days. I got it from my wife, who was wiped out for 3 weeks.
I don't know when the public's fear of COVID ends, but there are a lot of people who are very scared of it and the news cycle isn't helping.
I don't hang my hat on the industry recovering after a vaccine's available because then the economic carnage will be at the top of the news cycle.


On your last statement, I'd phrase that our management is more concerned about the company surviving this than other airline managements. Perhaps because we've already borrowed as much money as we can and don't have any more lines of credit to tap. I don't know, but right now, the proper course of action appears to be that they cut to the bone.

I'm near the end of my career so it isn't going to hurt me too much should I get furloughed for a third time or United goes Ch 7, but I'm willing to bet that many of the people who are screaming about management have a lot longer left before they're eligible for a social security check.
