If you don't like flying and have a lucrative side gig, then it's actually a really good deal. Keep your seniority number and continue to accrue longevity while not having to go to work! The continuing to accrue longevity is the key.
I can think of a few folks who could/would take advantage of such an offer.
I’ve been around for awhile and I can only think of maybe one 900 NY CA that might take it but even he won’t because he would lose insurance and then you have the majority of of pilot group being here less then 5 years and had hopes of trying to move on in the near future (that’s gone) none of those guys will take it. I doubt we will see even see a double digit number of guys/gals taking this. I don’t mean to be a RayJay but short of a miracle (which could happen) some of the pilot group is looking at a forced leave.
