Allow me to take that a step farther. Most people don’t consider a regional airline a career move to begin with but rather a means to an end. If option A offers you an easier life, quicker upgrade etc in order to get to the end state goal, you take it. Sure, our regional airlines get discussed from time to time in the cockpit when reminiscing (and laughing about the good times), but I’ve never thought less of the guy sitting next to me because the airline they hired on with after college was considered a “scum bucket” carrier (hell, many people wear that as a badge of honor now). That being said, I’m damn proud (and was lucky) to have worked for COEX in my early 20’s. Upgraded at 23 on the 120 and two years later found myself in the ERJ left seat flying all over the map (as long as your map is folded such as to only reveal Mexico and the eastern half of the U.S.). Good people during the late 90’s early 2000’s that I’ll never forget (probably because I find myself flying with them to this day in larger cockpits). All the best to you fine folks. You were the good guys/gals
