I would agree that ALPA representing both groups is a conflict of interest, but not in the way you seem to think. The regional model is a B scale designed to lower pilot cost over a career. By giving access to national dollars and programs to regional members they are acting against the interest of the largest portion of their membership (and most rational pilots would agree the profession at large). I cannot fathom how people who advocate for concessions or claim that ALPA hurts their career as a regional pilot are anything other than management instigators, or simply lack a firm grasp on reality.
