You would think Endeavor would get the EV code and ExpressJet would get 9E. It just makes sense. Imagine if Delta got 8A while DHL got DL.
9E has been in existence since 1985, the “Endeavor” brand was born in 2013. DAL has been around for nearing a 100 years. As I recall, DHL is not an actual airline. It’s just a bunch of random subcontractors that paint “DHL” on the side. Kinda like the regionals except you get to fly a Boeing.
