I've been told 3000 pilots by the end of the year. Just what I hear, as I said who knows? I don' think it'll be 2 years unlessyou want to hold certain equipment in a certain base. A lot of people do and are happy holding top lines in the left seat. That is what puts Captains in the 1300 range.
For reference, I was 1750 something when hired 8 months ago I am in the 16's high 15's now. Be nice if they had a accurate senority list. You and I have heard the same things, 190's for Delta and Airways, expansion at Frontier. These are all added seats. It is an interesting time to be here. I think you'll see attrition go up as well if the other companies are going to be able to keep hiring. The mickey mouse BS management is driving people out in droves.
PS: I think I can handle the simple math, thanks.

So 2300-1300=1000 pilots. lets go high on the attrition and say 30 a month! 1000 pilots divided by 30 a month equals 33.4 months! Now take 33.4 months and divide it by 12 months in a year! and bingo 2.7777777repeating years!
