There is a reason for those stats. The differences in broken homes within various ethnic groups comes from cultural norms and differences between those groups. The reason for those stats come from within each group, not from outside forces keeping them down, or propping them up. Asians have a lower poverty rate, lower crime rate, higher academic achievement rate, and higher loan approval rates than either the black or white communities. They have a culture that has one of the highest intact family rates, and a relentless work ethic when it comes to academics and financial prosperity. They succeed at a higher percentage because as a group, they stay out of trouble and work harder than either blacks or whites. They don’t get into better schools or get approved for loans because of race, that happens because they have a better application than other people. There was a time when the law had two standards, but that is long gone. In the 60’s a famous report came out with the alarming statistic that 25% of black people are born out of wedlock and that the trend would lead to a breakdown of the culture and lead to a dependence on government, higher rates of poverty, crime, and incarceration. Since that time, the rate has tripled, and the incarcerations rate has followed. The same thing can be found in the white community. The single family household rates have also gone up, and the crime and incarceration rates have risen there also. Within the various ethnic groups, cultural differences produce different results. The discipline and focus on a two parent household in the Asian community has resulted in a group who commit a lower percentage of the crime than what their group represents in society. The black community has had a devastating breakdown of the family and as a group commit a larger percentage of crime than their group represents in our society. As a nation, we like to point out that large parts of the forest are on fire, however we don’t want to address the reasons that different sections of the forrest have more fires than others. It is easier to point fingers than it is to look in the mirror. The correct answer uses long term data, the “racist” answer is always that which debunks the given narrative.
