Illegitimacy is a primary driving factor contributing to poverty and crime. Prior to the 1960’s, the rate of married households and unemployment between blacks and whites was practically identical. One theory is that the negative stigma of being an unwed mother was significantly reduced as people became more sexually open. The most widely accepted explanation is that when the Great Society came along, the welfare state was created. This was a system that paid more support if the father wasn’t present, encouraging children out of wedlock and the negative repercussions that followed. This was far more prevalent in the black community than others, however, the white community is now starting to grow significantly as well, for the same reasons, and with the same results. Others point to black culture and music that demean women, and glamorize being a thug. I think that the later is a stretch. Culture shapes the music, music doesn’t shape the culture.

People are all the same, we have the same emotions, and we all bleed the same color. The problems that this country has with race won’t be solved by reparations, different admission standards, quotas, or BLM. We need to tackle the root of the problem. It’s like when an engine catches on fire. We don’t spend time complaining about the fire, the first thing we do is cut the fuel source to that fire. Poor communities need school choices for their kids so that they can get a better education, we need more vocational training for people who can’t afford to go to college, or who don’t want to. We need to stop having kids out of wedlock, stop condoning violence and crime, stop depending on government, and start accepting responsibility for our lives. It’s probably too much to ask, but if all people will stop playing stupid games, this country will stop winning stupid prizes.

Sorry for the thread drift. If AA wants to open the can of worms and allow employees to wear a BLM pin, then expect people to wear pins supporting Blue Lives Matter, Trump, Biden, NRA, PETA.................
