You only are commited to the note if you complete training, IOE and all. You need to be line qualified. The republic training, if you can't pass it you really don't deserve to be there. I know a couple of idiots on the CHQ certificate, so I can't imagine its too hard. As for shuttle, I know of a couple people not making it through that. Bottom line, know how to fly and all you need to do is learn a new aircraft and how they want you too fly it.

For 190's, I do NOT want to see them here. Frankly I think it will happen. The 190 guys at airways will all go to group 2 aircraft and a raise. The 190's will get flown cheaper because our current contract has fire sale wages on aircraft that they never imagined they would see. The new contract had better have some real language and pay rates in it for 190's and I mean FO's as well. The capt rates are not too bad, the FO rates are an insult to the industry.

X-jet Check airman are getting trained on 190s as we speak, I would say they are looking to put them on the branded flying but they are doing work for delta as well. 50 seat aircraft are going away, companies like Republic, skywest and many of the others will either evolve or disolve. I for one see evolution. If you have crystal ball that says whats going to happen speak up. Otherwise until you are sitting in it all of this is only speculation. Like I said earlier I am only passing on what I am hearing. And that is not a slow down in hiring or upgrades at Republic.
