Imagine having worked here for 25 years and having 3 or 4 kids in college. Imagine guys junior to you getting bumped to the right seat and keeping their Captains pay. The contract is sacrosanct, or at least should be. When I was a jr maggot I took the job KNOWING I WAS CHAFF. Stuff happens in this industry. Once per decade. And suddenly you're an old guy and find out that you have toiled for 20-30 years under one concessionary contract or crisis after another. Best of luck young timers, your career earnings will be decimated by this.
