Imagine having worked here for 25 years and having 3 or 4 kids in college. Imagine guys junior to you getting bumped to the right seat and keeping their Captains pay. Imagine them being able to cherry pick all the open time while you have to figure out how to live on a big paycut. The contract is sacrosanct, or at least should be. When I was a jr maggot I took the job KNOWING I WAS CHAFF. Stuff happens in this industry. Once per decade. And suddenly you're an old guy and find out that you have toiled for 20-30 years under one concessionary contract or crisis after another.
