I'll take the furlough, see ya in a year or two.

But I have career prospects outside aviation. Which is why I always tell guys who want to go to college to be a pilot to get a degree in something that pays if you can't be a pilot.
Big assumptions u are making about a rumor at another airline. However, if true thst would be your choice. Choices, I just love America.
