I’m not advocating that was correct, nor will I defend it. But a mob, or looters, or destructive rioters, can be held accountable for their actions if their actions are not lawful. The same cannot be said for atrocities committed under the color of law by state actors, colloquially known as the police. And those atrocities must cease.
