Easy for the company...it’s literally a day or two of training. So they save beacoup $$ on all the costly extended courses they DON’T now have to do, plus with no furloughs what the hell else are they going to do? Park 5000 people as NB FOs? Additionally, with the cargo flights going gangbusters they want to leave 787/777 pilots right where they are, indefinitely. That has put a twist in the initial displacement plan, and will I’m sure foreshadow what the “Kirby bounce back” might require staffing-wise.
Thats all wonderful and rosey, but who is paying for all that good grace by the company? You and I.
