I feel sick for you guys. A friend of mine went over there, PHX base. He was very excited about the future. UPS seasonal, uber, lyft, door dash, whatever. Got to buckle up and ride it out.
The silver lining is that there was a pilot shortage looming before all this happened and mandatory retirements aren't going away just because the music has stopped. When things start getting back to normal I see a rapid spin up in pilot demand. Just got to tread water in the meantime.
Thanks we all appreciate it. They let us keep insurance and travel benefits with the airlines so I’m going to use the unemployment benefits to travel a bit, maybe international too when it opens up. I’m thinking furloughs will last about a year. Probably same time as the pandemic will and viability of the vaccines.
