United NEEDS to keep flying their brand, we are way cheaper than anybody else. Our flying will increase on the United side because XpressJet won't be flying out of Houston anymore. Republic lost their IAH base. Flying in IAD is way up this month.
Mesa HAS money, they just reported a profit for the last 2 quarters.

We are in a losing fight with no leverage. I get that Mesa has money. It’s a business. If there’s any expense to cut it will be cut. The most they can get from us they will take.
They don’t want the training churn 490 furloughs will generate and the MOU is cheaper for the company than the furloughs when you crunch the numbers. However, absent an MOU they will furlough and unless you are in the top 30 pct you will be negatively impacted.
